December 2011

I can't believe this year is coming to a close. I feel like the older I get, the more I want to slow down time. With Judd, I was always excited for him to graduate to the next step but with Remi I don't want him to transition so quickly! This month I haven't felt the "Christmas" spirit and I keep hoping that through some lame Christmas song on FM100, I will find it. It hasn't worked yet, but I still keep the radio station permanently on every night as I make my way to work. My lack of spirit probably has to do with working more hours than I thought. I give my students their final assessments this week and then I have a small break. I keep telling Judd and Remi to watch out because Christmas activities are about to be unleashed.

I can't believe Remi will be turning 1 this Thursday. It seems like yesterday I was at the hospital having him, enjoying my room being right next to the fountain machine. Oh how I love their ice and diet coke. Remi is my little sunshine. I love that kid so much that sometimes I think my heart is going to burst. I watch him sleep at night and think how lucky I am to have him. Last week Remi got the tummy flu and it was so sad. He would puke, then tilt his little head and give me a smile, just to go back to barfing his little guts out.

Judd is my fireball of emotion and I couldn't live a minute without him. He tests my patience everyday, but he also makes me laugh my pants off. No matter what I do or say, he loves the snot out of me and wants to be under my feet all the time. What a little buddy he is. He has perfected sneaking in our room to sleep at night and I don't have the heart to carry him back to his. What a blessing it is to have children.

Jon's mom and sister do the 12 Days of Christmas for each family, so they start it off with a Christmas party. Since we were all together we decided to celebrate Remi's upcoming birthday. Don't worry, he has pooped blue for days!

Teaching him that he is turning 1!

I love this picture because he is looking at Judd. Remi thinks Judd rocks, even when he about pull his arm out of socket.

I was watching my neighbor's kid and he was being picked up. I set Remi's yogurt on the counter and went to answer the door. When I returned Remi had stashed the yogurt in his arm and fed himself. He did a phenomenal job!

Let the games begin. We had to put the gate up since mister twister is quite the dare devil. Don't ask me why but around 5pm Judd becomes a little "WT" (white trash) and likes to take his shirt off and meander around town that way. We don't get it but it is like clock work.

99% of the time it looks like Judd is an orphan because his face is goober galore. I love this picture of him and I love him.

Judd was shooting at Remi so Remi decided to return fire with his lotion bottle, which came equipped with shooting sounds from his mouth.

In honor of army crawling, we have had some army crawl races. Judd and Remi are totally into it. However, to restart poor Remi has to deal with this. No worries, Judd was very careful.

Remi's room is always so cold. We have adjusted the vents but it is still freezing. Therefore, this is how he goes to bed.

I love catching pictures of Judd like this one. I wish I had a better camera. Maybe that is what Santa could bring me :).

  1. Love the pics of Remi so adorable. Happy Birthday to him! I think the dirty face must run in the genetics because Marshall always has a dirty face. Funny kids. Hopefully things will be smoother once you get a break from work.
