Stetson's Blessing

We blessed Stetson in August.  We had thought we had rented the neighborhood clubhouse for the after party, but later found we had put in for Saturday instead of Sunday.  When we went to fix it, the clubhouse was already booked.  So, we crammed over 50 people in our house, which wasn't as bad as I thought it would be.  I am so mad that I didn't take the camera out before Mistie and Cortney left.

Jon did a really good job.  I am always impressed with his blessings and the spirit that is felt during them.  He has a way with words, which I do not.  I feel like a blubbering bafoon when I speak in front of large crowds. Stetson was very good during the blessing; however, Uncle Casey said he did try to kick himself right out of their hands.

My mother-in-law bought Stetson's blessing outfit as a gift.  I was explaining to her that I was frustrated because I couldn't find what I was looking for.  A few days later she gave me an outfit that was perfect.  Everything I wanted, soft and snugly.

I don't know what I would do without my Mom.  She is the most giving woman you will ever meet.  I had mastitis the weekend of the blessing and seriously thought I was on my death bed.  The Saturday before she came and helped me shop for food, prepare it, and clean.  I was so stressed and as soon as she said she was coming down to help, a weight lifted.  She will never understand how much it meant to me.

My mom & mother-in-law, Kris.  She makes the best frog eye salad you have ever eaten.

Family is so important to me and I am so thankful that we all could come together to celebrate my little Stetson. I love all of them and can't thank them all enough for coming and bringing something to eat to the shin dig!

My sister, Kim and hubby, Jim.  Where's your smile Jim :)!

My little Remi was a mess.  He hadn't taken a nap so he was double "oc."  OUT OF CONTROL.

Summer 2013

Things we have done this Summer:
1.  Loved the snot out of this little guy.  Stetson coming this summer has been a lot of work but so much fun. Judd & Remi adore him and constantly want to be in his face.  Stetson is growing way too fast.  My recovery this time around has been difficult.  Recently I have gotten myself mastitis, which makes it really hard to snuggle my boys, especially when it comes to holding Stetson.  I am hoping I am on the mend.

2.  Playing dress up has occurred quite frequently.  Remi wears this heavy thing around and makes us giggle when he puts it on upside down.

3.  I have to be honest, I am one tough Momma on this kid.  Is it normal to be harder on  your first?  Judd has his bad days but for the most part he works really hard on being a good boy.  He helps me so much with the baby, that I don't know what I am going to do without him when he goes to Kindergarten.  This summer he has learned how to give Stetson a bath, feed him a bottle, rock him while he is crying, locate bottles & binkis.  In addition, Judd has learned how to put on a show for Remi, fill Remi a sippee cup, and clean up Remi's mass destruction of toys.  I love this boy more than words can say and I truly hope he doesn't remember me as the Mom that freaks out occasionally!

4.  We attended the infamous 4th of July party in our neighborhood.  The boys had so much fun eating popcorn, cotton candy and yummy shaved ice, going down water slides, riding a train, and visiting with neighbors.

4.  Camping at Potter's Pond.  Camping sure gets harder every year but I guess we keep adding a child to the mix :).  Bless Jon's heart for making it fun with fishing, building campfires, and scouting for deer.

Remi didn't like the fish and took off up the hill like a mad man.

5.  I hate to admits this but my boys have spent way too much time on the ipad.  However, I love when they snuggle up with each other.  Look at that Remi.  What a nerd.

6.  I have tried to get lots of snuggle time with Stetson but I do have to admit that it is hard because everyone else wants to hold him too.

7.  Judd played tball this year again and loved it.  Thank you Brett Blood for coaching, even if your wife just had another kid.

Not going to lie, it was pure hell with Remi.  He didn't want to sit and watch like a good boy.

8.  Went to Lagoon for Jon's work party.

9.  Ate mass amounts of popcorn and enjoyed a lot of Netflix.

10.  We blesses Stetson but that will be another post.  Hope you all had a good summer!
