September 2012 Happenings

WARNING...DEER PHOTO MAY GROSS YOU OUT.  SO SORRY!

Hunting is in full bloom.  Jon has taken Judd on a couple of hunts and he loves it.  I used to hate all the hunting but after ten years I am getting pretty used to it. It is fun to be able to spend some one on one time with Remi and I know he appreciates having all the toys to himself.  I know down the road I will look forward to having a couple weekends to myself while they are off doing manly things.

Judd was up and at it at 5am to go with his Dad.  While I was getting him dressed Jon was loading the truck.  Judd was having a full blow tizzy because he kept thinking his Dad was going to leave him.

Remi bust my balls on a daily basis and this is just one example of why!

Remi has also decided that watching tv is pretty neat.  He is also quite fond of the iphone and ipad. Probably can use it better than I can.

This is a sad little picture because these two jagaloons were acting crazy and collided.  I couldn't help but take a picture of it.  I am surprised they recovered without any bruising.

Judd loves preschool.  Can you tell that the letter of the week was "P"?

Remi also wanted to be apart of the Pirate motif.

Have I mentioned that Remi likes to show off his belly a lot.

This picture cracks me up because Judd and Remi are two peas in a pod.  Remi is the little duckling that adores and follows every move Judd makes.

Remi has developed into such a good little eater.  Finally I have found that mandarin oranges help him unplug...constant battle I tell ya.

Judd keeps us still on our toes.  In my opinion he is growing too fast.  Grandpa and Grandma Bowen gave him some men's aftershave because he is becoming a young man.  Lets just say that he literally baths in it when he gets dressed every morning.  He loves it.

He got himself a big boy hair cut from Aunt Kimmie.  He screamed throughout the entire hair cut.  Finally I gave him a fruit by the foot that simmered him down.  Only down side was that he ate half the hair that was cut off because it was sticking to it.

Last Year of Preschool

This little smarty pants is going to his final year of preschool.  Where did the time go?  Judd was very excited  about his first day, until we pulled up and he saw all the kids.  Judd hid behind my leg for a minute but then walked through the doors with his head held high after a small pep talk.  Remi and I got to hang out and shop at Ross.  I can honestly say that I love the small breaks but I sure missed him and wondered how he was doing.  Why do they have to grow so darn fast!

Lake Powell

Once upon a time, the Bowen Family (and the Johnson Clan) toured by houseboat, the waters of Lake Powell!

We loved exploring the water on the jet skies.
The trip would have been no fun without Aunt Nickie and the rest of her clan.  At nights Nickie had us giggling so loud we kept the entire camp awake.
What would a trip be like without Grandma Carolyn?  Although she dislikes water and hasn't been to Lake Powell in years, she took one for the team and came to bond with the family.  I just adore this little lady and am so thankful she is my Mom.
No Lake Powell trip would be complete without Spiderman gear.
Or burying a nephew or two.  Thanks Jack for being a good sport.
Remi loved a good Lake Powell rock.  He would find the biggest rock and chuck it into the waters.  All the kids got the giggles when he tried to say "skip," because it came out sounding like you know what.

Naughty Papa was Captain and entertained too.  He was a rock star and the best looking 72 year old guy on shore.  How lucky we all are to have this guy carting us around the lake.  Also aboard were Kim and Jim with their 4 sailing mates.  All of them helped with keeping Remi from sinking into the waters (and gave me a little break).
 Lizard hunting was a must.
However, poor Aunt Kimmie didn't like it one bit because she didn't want those fast little lizards to get hurt.
Some of our relatives brought their niece named Ellie. I am not going to lie, every one of my nephews thought she was pretty darn cute.
Larry and Ronnie were quite a cute pair....
To my surprise, my little Judd was a brave little pirate.  He jumped off 15 foot cliffs, rode the sea-doo like a champ, learned to dive off the back of the boat, and slid off the houseboat slide.  Momma Bear had to close her eyes a couple of times because he was such a dare devil.

Jon was the best, entertaining the boys.  He may be shy at a glance but just like Nickie, he was pure entertainment.
Building a snake and deer was a hit.

But having these cute cousins together was pretty darn neat.

The last night we gathered for a family fire.  We shared secrets and laughed and had so much fun.
I love that my boys adore one another.
We can't wait again for another Lake Powell trip.
The End!
