Staying at home with Judd has been a ball! However it isn't always roses and fairy dust. There are times that neighbors might see me sitting on the front porch (having a little time out) because my little man is about to send me over the edge. One of my most favorite things about staying at home is that Judd gets to be involved in more playgroups, or just have little friends over to play. We are so fortunate to live in a neighborhood where there are kids, lots of them. I love watching Judd socialize and strut himself around his sand box like he owns the place. Every morning Judd wakes up and asks me about all his friends and what they are doing. Typically I can get him to do things (brushing teeth, eating, etc.) if I tell him that one of his friends is also doing it. Works like a charm. Hopefully it lasts awhile.
Judd is growing like a weed, talking up a storm, and keeping me on my toes at all times. I wanted to list a couple of things that he is doing so I can look back and remember this stage in life. Here goes:
1. He has become Mr. Independent. I can't help him with anything and if I do, he throws a complete fit. And, if he can't get it right (aka putting on his own shoes) he goes into orbit.
2. He repeats everything I say. I am working on not letting potty words slip out of my mouth b/c they come back to haunt me at the worst times.
3. He isn't into potty training at all. He thinks it is for the birds. I am giving him a vacation from it but we will be back in the saddle in a couple of months. Heaven help me!
4. He loves candy. So do I.
5. He loves to slip out the doggy door to go play in his sand box. I apologize to neighbors who see him naked in the backyard. He is fast.
6. He gets concerned when he sees people crying and wants to immediately know why they are upset.
7. He is shy at first but don't let him fool you. He is full of it.
8. He doesn't nap at all. There are times I take him for car rides to see if it will put him to sleep. It doesn't. So neighbors I am not crazy, stalking the neighborhood....just hoping for a small break.
9. He loves to take his dish to the sink after eating. Most the time nothing breaks or spills.
10. His favorite word is "Nope."
